What age is the tumtum appropriate for?

The tumtum wedge is appropriate for all pre-crawling babies. Babies can benefit from the tumtum wedge at many ages, it grows with them. Even sitters can enjoy the tumtum wedge, as it can offer a gentle support in addition to balance as they learn to sit.

Is the tumtum wedge appropriate for preemies?

The tumtum wedge is safe for babies once they are discharged from the hospital. As always, adult supervision is required. Every baby needs tummy time, even preemies!

If my baby slips down when I put them on the tumtum, what should I do?

Due to the nature of the incline, it is common for baby to slip a bit. We recommend applying firm pressure on your baby’s buttocks to give them more stability. It is also helpful to have your baby lie on the tumtum unclothed - in just a diaper. This will help your baby to not slip, and also improves their sensory experience!

How should I clean my tumtum?

We recommend cleaning your tumtum with a non-toxic washing liquid and non-abrasive cloth. Use a spray or wet and wring the cloth out so that is not dripping wet before wiping. Follow up by driving off with a dry, soft cloth.

What is the tumtum wedge made of?

The wedge is made of EVA (ethylene-vinyl acetate) foam and a vegan leatherette cover - both do not contain formamide or formaldehyde and are nontoxic.

  • Do not use in crib, cradle, bassinet, playpen, play yard, bed, couch or on any elevated surface or soft surface.

  • Do not leave baby unattended - adult supervision is required.

  • Improper use of this product could result in serious injury or death.

Return Policy: If you need to return your order for any reason, please contact us within 7 days of receiving your order. As long as the item you are returning is brand new, unused and in the original packaging we can approve a return. Once we receive your order back, we will issue a refund in full minus shipping charges. If you need a shipping label, please email info@tumtumusa.com to obtain a label. Once processed, the order must be shipped within 7 days or the label will be cancelled.

If you receive a damaged or defective product, please email info@tumtumusa.com with a photo of the damage within 7 days of delivery.  We will make every effort to replace your damaged or defective item with a replacement. Damaged items returned for an exchange must be unused and sent back TUMTUM USA  in its original packaging.

We are unable to accept used product returns or after the 7 day window.
